When you're a rich and famous celebrity, you'd think you had more than enough money to afford basic hygiene essentials like soap, shampoo and deodorant, right?
The money part might be so, but apparently not all stars care about the 'little' things like, not smelling like a monkey's hindquarters.
We're going to go over a few celebs who, for whatever eccentric or just dingy reasons, don't subscribe to the whole 'being hygienic' thing. So let's go!
Now, the stories of Brad Pitt date back decades. I remember being a kid and hearing about how he rarely washed his hair and how badly he reeks. I then heard that was all in the past. I'm now reading that he's still Mr Anti-Hygiene. Check out his reasoning behind his grossness: "I got six kids. All you've got to do is just take [baby wipes], a couple quick wipes under the pits. I'm getting [peed] on all day. I don't have time to take a shower,” the actor once explained to his Inglorious Bastards costar.
Brad may be one of the most hottest men in Hollywood but he is also one of the most smelliest. He showers so little that many other actors have complained about his odor during filming. Nastayyyy!
Robert Pattinson drove the other cast members of Twilight crazy with his rancid odor. The British actor has even admitted he never washes. Maybe that's why Kristen Stewart struggled to crack a smile as the terrible smell was overpowering her? He was quoted in an interview as saying, "I don’t really see the point in washing your hair. If you don’t care if your hair’s clean or not then why would you wash it?".
But it seems like he also doesn't care for showering. “He reeks. I mean, it’s disgusting. He never showers, and it drives people on the set nuts,” a source close to Robert once said.
Johnny Depp claims he doesn’t have a hygiene problem, but numerous sources have said he doesn’t like taking showers and will go days without one.
“Johnny usually smells because he rarely showers. He isn’t big on personal cleanliness and Vanessa isn’t much different. They found their perfect match in each other – it’s hard to be around them,” one source said.
Come one, bro! You're the epitome of a movie star. Man up already!
One of Julia Robert’s ex bodyguards said that the actress rarely showers in order to save water and also hardly shaves. Apparently she's uber-green friendly. Julia has even admitted that she doesn’t wear deodorant. Maybe she's better for turning on the red light?
I think a quote from her ex husband says it all. There's not much more to say. So, bring it, David Arquette!
"As beautiful as she is she isn't the most hygienic actress on the planet. According to ex-husband David Arquette he was quoted saying this about his ex, "Courtney may be pretty, but if she's not on top of it, she smells like a truck driver and I like it."
Hey, he could be taking jabs at his ex, but who would admit to liking their wife smelling like a truck driver?
Let's bring this pretty boy down a few notches, shall we?
Zac disputed claims that he likes to play sport and then go for days without showering: “It’s so gross, because Zac loves to work out and plays basketball all the time and then goes days without showering. When he gets lazy, he likes to clean himself with baby wipes!” Hard to believe, I know, because he always look fresh. But maybe the odor doesn't emanate through the TV screen like it does his actual clothes next to actual people?
Most of this information is straight from his famous ex Miranda Kerr who "wishes he would bathe and wash his clothes more often. He may be attractive but he seems to be rather lazy when it comes to hygiene. He goes weeks on end without washing his clothes. His jeans are a repeat wear that rarely ever get dipped in water, but wait there's more... He allows his dogs to sleep in the bed with him."
There are a bunch more, but these are the highest profile culprits to grossing out all members of humankind. Now, try not to think about this article when you're watching them in a movie.
