12-year-old Katelyn Nicole Davis was living a nightmare. It's reported that her mother is a drug addict and her step-father is a sexual predator. She couldn't take it anymore and took her own life by hanging herself in a tree in front of her home.
This is not how a girl her age should live her life. She deserved a lot better. I hope her parents spend the rest of their life in prison.
When your child hates their life this much, that they commit suicide on a live video stream for the world to see - then there's a huge problem in the household.
Katelyn did this to expose her parents for the horrible people they are.
I wish she could've lived with someone else. It's tearful to read stories like this. Our kids deserve better.
If you know anyone suffering through abusive parents, drug addicts or alcoholics - anything at all, then PLEASE get them help as fast as you can. Even if it means sending their parents to prison forever, the child/friend/relative is better off.
I watched the video, but I don't want to share it here out of respect for Katelyn. It's messed up and that shouldn't be the way people see her for the last time.
Let's hope her filthy piece of sh*t parents find themselves in prison and tortured daily.
Heavy reports - A 12-year-old girl in Georgia live streamed her own suicide online in a shocking clip that continues to spread across the Internet. On December 30, Katelyn Nicole Davis began streaming her death after telling the world that she had been sexually abused by a male member of her family. A blog posting said this relative was her stepfather.
Davis lived and went to school in Cedartown, Georgia, about 70 miles west of Atlanta. After authorities became aware of the video on the night of Davis’ death, she was found hanging from a tree in front of her home. The 12-year-old was rushed to Polk Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Katelyn Davis would have turned 13 in February.
If you, or anybody you know, is depressed or considering suicide, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline on 1-800-273-8255.
Here's her mother, Tammy Michelle Rogers, and her Facebook page.
I think this is her father or her step-father. Not entirely sure. Here's the Facebook page of Anthony Lee Rogers.
It's reported that her step-father was sexually abusive to Katelyn-Nicole-Davis.
Katelyn-Nicole-Davis also has some blogs that reveal her emotions as she lived through her personal hell. These blogs included details pointing to her cutting, depression, and dealing with abusive parents.
I really dislike these stories. I know they happen, but I wish they didn't. There's so many good people in the world who would've adopted her, even if it wasn't someone in her own family.
There's always people out there who can't have kids, who would love to take care of someone.
Remember folks, if there's someone you know who struggles with depression, thoughts of suicide, or living with abusive people - then please get them help anyway you can.
