Popular Republican figure Allen West, a former congressman in Florida looking to be a bigger part of the Texas GOP, was involved in a motorcycle accident today in Texas. He's listed as being in stable condition at the time, but he's undergoing assessment as well.
West's team posted a message on his Twitter account to notify people of the accident. They stated that Allen West was cut off by a car and caused two motorcycles to collide.
West was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Hillcrest in Waco.

Both motorcyclists are reported to have non-life threatening injuries per a report on KWTX.
After the initial message to fans, Team West issued two updates on the current situation and status of Allen West.
The first message stated, "UPDATE: 1/2 According to law enforcement on the scene, a car cut LTC West off, resulting in two motorcycles colliding, one of which was his. He was transported by helicopter to the hospital, where he is currently in stable condition and undergoing assessment."
And a second message stated, "2/2 Family and members of Team West are at the hospital, and we will continue to provide updates. We appreciate the support and kind notes and solicit your continued prayers. #PrayersForAllen"
