A small number of antifacist protesters brought weapons to Heather Heyer's funeral. The Antifa women looked ready for war as they arrived armed with pink bats and purple shields as they stood in unison at Heyer's funeral. She was killed by a white supremacist who drove a Dodge Challenger into a crowded street at the Unite the Right event/protest/rally/whatever it was supposed to be called.
According to the Daily Caller, the female Antifa members came to the funeral armed with weapons because they claim the police don't protect anyone. In reality, the police are often given direct orders to stand down. Police were ordered to stand down during the Unite the Right rally. Some members of the Alt-Right and Antifa instigated trouble and sparked violence and fights. All of the chaos leads up to the unfortunate event where a white supremacist and domestic terrorist drove his Dodge Challenger into a crowded street where he injured numerous counter-protesters and took the life Heather Heyer.
Antifa, a collection of left-wing protesters, decided to crash the funeral of Heather Heyer, a white woman who died after a white supremacist drove his car into a crowd of protesters during a white nationalist riot.
The Unite the Right event was reportedly held to protest the removal of a Robert E. Lee Confederate statue. The event was mostly white men walking around with Tiki torches, but then antifa showed up with a few of their Black Lives Matter friends and things spun out of control extremely quickly. The event went from people walking around with Tiki torches and yelling random things like Nazi salutes, to fights breaking out, urine spilled on people, a female reporter punched by a man, and then the uneventful and unfortunate domestic terror attack by a white supremacist who drove his vehicle into a crowded street of counter-protesters. The driver, James Alex Fields Jr., was arrested.
All of the violence may have been avoided if the leftists would have stayed home. It's nearly impossible for the far right and far left to be in the same area without it turning into a fist fight...or stick fight. The scene went from strange to violently ugly once the counter-protesters arrived and people exchanged words, fists, feet, spit, and who knows what else. There was no violence until the leftist groups arrived. It was a strange event, but there wasn't violence just yet. If the leftists stayed home, then three people would not have lost their life. Antifa and their liberal protester friends are partially responsible for this event escalating into a murder scene. If there was no counter-protesters for the domestic terrorist to drive into, then maybe he wouldn't have done it. He may have committed a crime later in his life, but this could have all been prevented if the leftists stayed home. It doesn't make sense for the far left and far right to constantly follow each other to events and consistently engage in physical battle. No one is accomplishing anything this way.
Heyer's funeral was crowded with supporters, family, and friends. The line to get into her services reached at least two blocks.
If there's a protest that we don't like, then we should not infringe on other people's right to protest. Do not protest a protest. Whenever that happens, the people can always get out of control because it's simply not possible to have that many conflicting ideals and angry people in one location. Protesters protesting each other is is a recipe for violent disasters.
Anytime liberals show up dressed in masks and armed with weapons such as urine bombs or anything else, then it only makes people on the right side of politics point more fingers toward them. If liberals want to be taken serious, then they should not continue this violent streak of causing chaos. Whatever they're doing is not working and I'm not sure how people felt about this group of people arriving with weaponry. And at the same time, the white supremacy and Nazi-ism isn't working either. Both the extreme right and extreme left need to rethink their agenda and bring themselves out of the extremist area and back to something more suitable for society. There's no room for supremacy from the right or left, but there is room for people to be more moderate and work on issues together. They can't do that if they're beating each other in the streets.
If you or someone you know is about to attend a protest, then encourage them to stay home and stay safe. Nothing was accomplished in the protest in Virginia, but now we have three people who've lost their lives and a bunch of women storming funerals dressed like the cast of another Ghostbusters remake.
Should the family be embarrassed that these women showed up to a funeral dressed like that and bearing weapons?
What is your opinion?
