Residents in Baltimore, Maryland are unhappy with the raging murder rate that has increased over the last three years. Residents experience so much more murder and that's all thanks to Black Lives Matter (BLM) activists complaining for years about how there was too much police and wanted to see less police in some neighborhoods. The often violent or disruptive social justice warriors protested, demanded less police, and now they know life without a strong police force to serve and protect the hard-working citizens. The crime has increased and murder is rising. BLM wanted less police in the neighborhoods and they got it. Now they're faced with more people losing their lives and the murder rate continues to climb in Baltimore.
BLM activists can't have it both ways. They wanted less police and they got it, but now they've got more bodies on the pavement and residents aren't happy. Three years in a row there has been an increase in Baltimore murder rates, so now what? Now they'll have to welcome the police back into their neighborhoods and remember that most police are there to do a good job. There might be a bad officer once in a while, but every job has that one person that no one can stand. Every job from sports, office jobs, food industry, fire departments, schools, and any job you can think of. There's almost no way to guarantee that every job has a perfect staff. We have high expectations for our police and most officers go above and beyond the call of duty.
"Baltimore has now experienced higher murder rates for three years in a row after riots and BLM-sponsored protests began rocking the city after the death of Freddie Gray, a suspect who died in police custody in the spring of 2015, National Public Radio (NPR) reported.
Since the riots, police morale has collapsed, and city officials began planning a lighter police footprint in response to complaints of residents and protest leaders.
But now, black leaders are blaming cops for the spiraling murder rate, saying that the police pullback has put them in danger."
If the murder rate spirals out of control, then who is really to blame for that? It's not the fault of the police. It's the fault of the people. Bad people do bad things, and America has laws to help enforce punishment for people who do bad things. We have police to help maintain order. We have laws to give people a set of rules to abide by. Most people don't need to be told the rules because they're moral human beings who act with a sense of decency, but not everyone is like that.
When Black Lives Matter wants less police, then gets less police and more murder, then whose fault is it?
Black Lives Matter keeps talking about stopping police brutality, but they need to talk about not breaking the law and killing each other.
