Chris Cuomo responds after public outburst where someone called him 'Fredo'
CNN's Chris Cuomo was in a verbal altercation that appeared to be close to an all out brawl in public. Cuomo was irritated that someone instigated him while he was out with his family. The instigator called Cuomo 'Fredo' - a reference to the less powerful brother in the Godfather movie.
Cuomo became confrontational with the man who called him 'Fredo' and they almost got into a fight - and it was all caught on video.
There's been a mix of responses to the incident with some people supporting Cuomo for standing up for himself to a heckler. Others have called out Cuomo for his profanity laced tirade. Others referenced videos posted on CNN where people such as Ana Navarro have used the term 'Fredo' in reference to Donald Trump Jr.
Cuomo's response was short and he took responsibility for his actions.
He said, "Appreciate all the support but - truth is I should be better than the guys baiting me. This happens all the time these days. Often in front of my family. But there is a lesson: no need to add to the ugliness; I should be better than what I oppose."
