Wrinkled up Clint Eastwood, who's been in plenty of Hollywood shootouts, has stated that he supports Mr. Gun Control candidate, Michael Bloomberg, for the 2020 election. The 89-year-old opened up about his candidate of choice, and despite him pew pewing tons of guns in his movies to make millions of dollars, he's going for the guy who put out a gun control plan back in December.
The 89-year-old discussed the #MeToo movement, career highlights and dished on his political views in a revealing interview with the Wall Street Journal, and it turns out Mike Bloomberg has the actor's support.

"The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there," Eastwood told the outlet.
Eastwood, who described himself to the outlet as a libertarian who has "respect for other people’s ideas and is willing to learn constantly," said there are "certain things" Trump has done during his presidency that he approves of.
But the "Richard Jewell" director said he still takes issue with the "ornery" state of politics in America, adding that he'd like to see the president act "in a more genteel way, without tweeting and calling people names."

"I would personally not like for him [Trump] to not bring himself to that level," Eastwood added.
I always thought it was weird when wealthy Hollywood types who make lots of money shooting off guns in action movies then support candidates who want to introduce more gun control methods. Sure, Bloomberg's ideas aren't really that drastic - just stronger background checks and licensing, which is actually fine because we've already got systems in place to support that - but anything beyond that would likely be a no from me, dog.
It's just funny that guys like Clint Eastwood make money shooting guns on the big screen and then support candidates who support controlling those very same things in real life.
Yes, we all know the movies are not real (like wrestling is), but at the very least, we could have some consistency from our actors.
Or you know, break out of that Hollywood bubble once in a while and use some logic and common sense.
But hey, at least Clint isn't going for Elizabeth Warren. Not sure what Eastwood would think about Cowboys vs Indians then.
Meanwhile, here's some Clint Eastwood shootouts to help you forget this guy is going Democrat.
Clint used to be cool.
