James Comey reportedly tried to hide from Donald Trump using the White House curtains as camouflage.

He tried, failed, and may have made a fool of himself in the process.  Comey went to the meeting at the White House to represent the bureau, but wanted to keep his distance from President Trump, so he tried to blend in with the curtains instead of being casual about the encounter.

Tall man, hiding in curtains? That is surely a recipe for a hilarious disaster.

Mr. Wittes said Mr. Comey told him that he initially did not want to go to the meeting because the F.B.I. director should not have too close a relationship with the White House. But Mr. Comey went because he wanted to represent the bureau.

The ceremony occurred in the Blue Room of the White House, where many senior law enforcement officials — including the Secret Service director — had gathered. Mr. Comey — who is 6 feet 8 inches tall and was wearing a dark blue suit that day – told Mr. Wittes that he tried to blend in with the blue curtains in the back of the room, in the hopes that Mr. Trump would not spot him and call him out.

Comey is 6 feet 8 inches tall and more than likely was the tallest person in the room which made it easier to be spotted. Comey was wearing a dark blue suit which was similar to the color of the White House curtains. He had hoped that by trying to blend into the curtains, that President Trump would not spot him and continue walking by.

“He thought he had gotten through and not been noticed or singled out and that he was going to get away without an individual interaction,” Mr. Wittes said Mr. Comey told him.

But Mr. Trump spotted Mr. Comey and called him out.

“Oh and there’s Jim,” Mr. Trump said. “He’s become more famous than me.”

Unfortunately James Comey's plan to hide was unsuccessful, despite the fact that he thought he had got away with being seen by the President that wasn't the case.

President Trump later spotted Comey in the back of the room near the curtains and called him out, forcing Comey to interact, even though he really didn't want to. It was obvious that Comey was going to be seen by President Trump, unless he hid BEHIND the curtains, which would then be even more funny if he was caught.

Comey kind of looked like a fool by trying to hide, but it's all fun and games in good humor when all is said and done. Except, Comey was later fired by Trump unexpectedly. I don't think it was about the curtains.

Comey had no idea he was being fired by Trump. He saw it on the news and thought it was some kind of joke until he was told otherwise. It was very real.

Many now speculate that Donald Trump fired Comey because he believed Comey was getting closer to finding information about Trump being involved with Russia during the election campaign. Trump didn't want that to happen. Is it true? No one really knows.

“Oh and there’s Jim,” Mr. Trump said. “He’s become more famous than me.”

Donald Trump's words towards Comey looked suspicious and like he never really liked the guy for some reason which could be why he fired Comey.

Or was Comey fired because he didn't investigate Hillary enough to press charges?
