Big news just came out of the Todd Starnes show that suggests the FBI was trying to prevent Donald Trump from winning his election and becoming the President of the United States. Of course, there's tons of speculation about the forces who were against the real estate mogul and reality TV show all-star, because no one on the left wanted to lose to a guy with zero political experience. The left tried everything from calling him racist, sexist, and everything-ist - but it didn't work. Then people became weary of what Hillary Clinton was capable of. Like her or not, she's a powerful woman, and she can pull some significant strings when she wants to.
To add to the speculation of forces who tried preventing Donald Trump from winning the 2016 election is a quote from Representative Jim Jordan, a Republican from Ohio. He was talking to Todd Starnes and told them he was confident that the FBI tried to stop Trump from winning the election. Now this is getting juicy, right? Reading this news is better than watching your team win the Super Bowl, and for the ladies, this is better than an episode of Real Housewives. This is just getting interesting!
Starnes mentioned that Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) wanted Robert Mueller fired and quoted this:
“We are at risk of a coup d’etat in this country if we allow an unaccountable person with no oversight to undermine the duly-elected President of the United States,” Gaetz said. “And I would offer that is precisely what is happening right now with the indisputable conflicts of interest that are present with Mr. Mueller and others at the Department of Justice.”
Starnes asked Jordan his opinion of it. Jordan replied with this gem that is the basis of this entire article. Quite a shocker to hear him say this.
“The whole pretext is wrong. Think about this – you had – I’m convinced now – the FBI actively seeking with intent – actively trying to stop Donald Trump from being President of the United States,”
Starnes reminded his audience that Jordan is talking about numerous text messages involving Peter Strzok who referred to an "insurance" policy that may, or may not have, been something to ensure his plan followed through or it kept him off the hook.
To make things more interesting, we later find out that FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe plans to retire. McCabe has faced some lashing from Trump and it doesn't appear that they're on the same page with each other.
As reported by NBC:
"McCabe plans to retire in about 90 days, when he becomes fully eligible for pension benefits, The Washington Post reported Saturday, citing people familiar with the situation. Trump and his Republican allies have made it clear that they want McCabe out of the FBI. But McCabe is a civil service employee who cannot be fired without clear evidence of wrongdoing."
Now what? People retiring over what may be the result of conflicts with Trump. People saying the FBI was trying to sabotage the election. What's the TRUTH?
Was the FBI involved with any activity that would've interfered with the 2016 election? If they were, then America will need evidence.
My thoughts are this - why are we still talking about the 2016 election? It's over, and the outcome isn't changing, so what's the point of continuing the conversation? Is it so Trump can "drain the swamp" in a million places and start everything with new faces and talent?
What do you think?
