A Conservative group called the Job Creators Network has rented two billboards in NYC's Times Square mocking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The first billboard slammed her for being part of the force that pushed Amazon into pulling out, costing the city 25,000 jobs, $12 billion in lost economic activity, $4 billion in lost wages and basically said thanks for nothing.
Ocasio-Cortez caught wind of the billboard and responded to it with a message on Twitter.
The group responded by renting a second billboard, calling her Tweet "wack."
The first billboard:
Few things effectively communicate the power we’ve built in fighting dark money & anti-worker policies like billionaire-funded groups blowing tons of cash on wack billboards (this one is funded by the Mercers).— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) February 21, 2019
(PS fact that it’s in Times Sq tells you this isn’t for/by NYers.) https://t.co/B4QTPi1r2k
The second billboard:
Seems like there's a lot of people who really wanted Amazon to come to their city.
Now they're unhappy thanks to people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez helping to push Amazon away.
