Democrat Mayor claims he has NO respect for NYPD Union Leadership

"No respect." These are the words of Democratic Mayor Bill De Blasio, aimed at the NYPD union presidents. During his daily press conference, De Blasio responded to the union presidents who repeatedly call him a "disgrace" and a liar."

New York Post reports De Blasio's response after The Sergeants Benevolent Association (SBA) blasted him on social media. He said, "The [SBA] has only practiced division, they foment hatred... they do not try to help us forward. They don't try to create anything good. I have no respect for the leadership of the SBA."

SBA president Ed Mullins often takes his sentiments towards de Blasio on social media. Using SBA's official Twitter account @SBANYPD, Mullins first tweeted, "Mayor DeBlasio, the members of the NYPD are declaring war on you! We do not respect you. DO NOT visit us in hospitals. You sold the NYPD to the vile creatures, the 1% who hate cops but vote for you. NYPD cops have been assassinated because of you. This isn't over, Game on!" This tweet caused an investigation.

On Monday, Mullins wrote, "I agree no one should vandalize the mural. Truth is YOU ARE A LIAR you've allowed multiple murals, statues, and government building to be vandalized and held the police from making an arrest. You're not governing just running your own agenda. A DISGRACE as a Mayor & Human being."

His recent tweet was aimed at de Blasio's handling of George Floyd and BLM protests. The City's crime rate rose. Mullins replied to de Blasio's latest jab saying, "This is the first time since he's been in office that he's told the truth. The city knows he hates cops and accountability. Thank him for finally being honest."
