Dollar General has taken an extra step to protect senior citizens from coronavirus. The store has annouced that the first hour of shopping will be for senior citizens only. This will begin on Tuesday, March 18.
This is because stores across the country are running low on supplies and seniors are particularly susceptible to coronavirus, so they will get an hour to themselves to shop and get what they need, so they can get home and have some social distancing from other customers.
Dollar General will also close an hour early for cleaning and restocking, as stated on the Denver Channel local news outlet.
More stores might follow suit as the nation sees a slowdown in business and an uptick in social distancing where people either stay home or keep a close distance from each other in hopes to slow the spread of coronavirus.
