Donald Trump slams Al Sharpton as 'con man' and 'troublemaker' who 'Hates Whites & Cops!'

President Donald Trump slammed Al Sharpton on Twitter, calling him several names and suggesting that Sharpton hates white people and police officers. Trump said, "I have known Al for 25 years. Went to fights with him & Don King, always got along well. He “loved Trump!” He would ask me for favors often. Al is a con man, a troublemaker, always looking for a score. Just doing his thing. Must have intimidated Comcast/NBC. Hates Whites & Cops!"

This appears to be a response to Sharpton's tweet in which he's on an escalator and says that he just arrived in D.C. Sharpton might be in town in support of Baltimore after Trump had called out Rep. Cummings regarding the rodent infestation and Cummings not being effective as a Representative.

Sharpton stated, "Arrived in DC from Atlanta, headed to Baltimore. Long day but can’t stop."

The controversy started when Trump said Baltimore is rat and rodent infested. Some Democrats called Trump racist. Trump basically said that Rep. Cummings wasn't doing his job to keep the city clean and safe. The hashtag #BaltimoreProud was trending and the controversy continues.
To add fuel to the fire, it was Republican Kim Klacik who shared a video of Baltimore covered in trash with abandoned homes. That prompted even more criticism on both ends. Only one person, a Trump supporting activist named Scott Pressler, had taken things into action. Pressler organized a trash clean up day in Baltimore.
The pair of tweets sparked a lot of replies in which people called out Sharpton for various reasons. Some people called Al Sharpton a race baiter, grifter, and even asked where he was when Bernie Sanders called Baltimore a third world country several years ago.

Is Trump too hard on the media?
