Ellen Degenres she has made it clear that she does not want Donald Trump on her show and she has made her reasons very clear. It's not every day you see someone get banned from a television show, but this is what she wants!
Ellen does not want Donald Trump on her show because her and Donald Trump have completely different views.
Donald Trump is against everything Ellen stands for and she knows she could never change Trump's views or change his mind about certain topics.
Having Donald Trump on her show could go either in a good way or a bad way. I'm sure Ellen has taken this into consideration and has still made her decision based on how she feels. But should she make the decision on feelings or facts?
Ellen likely has more than one reason why she does not want him on her show. I'm certain that this does not only include the fact that they disagree, but also the arguments that could erupt due to various disagreements that could be a hit or miss for the show.
Don't expect to see Trump on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show."
Ellen Degeneres told "Today's" Matt Lauer she is not interested in inviting the president to appear on her talk show.
"Um, no," the comedian told Lauer when asked if she would invite Trump to talk to her. "Because I'm not gonna change his mind. He's against everything that I stand for."
"I don't know him," she said before adding, "I mean I know him from 'Celebrity Apprentice' because when we first started this show, I think Season 1 or 2, we went out there and we filmed something with him and so I flew in his helicopter and did a bit with him. So I knew him then [but] I have not spoken to him since he's run for president or become president."
Another way to look at this would be from a business point of view. What if Ellen allowed Trump on the show? If she were to put their differences aside, then she could end up with a really good, high rated episode that draws in viewers and income. Not that she needs a ratings boost, but she would certainly benefit from it.
Ellen has a lot of viewers who would enjoy watching her debate the President of the United States.
If Ellen brought Trump onto the show and they voiced their differences, then it would be a wonderful way to treat the audience and viewers with a great episode. This could send Ellen's ratings through the roof.
It might be a good idea for Ellen to debate Donald Trump and do a two part episode. People WILL watch.
Any show that involves Donald Trump is a boost for ratings and a win for her.
Lauer appeared on DeGeneres' show earlier this week and she asked the journalist what he thought about Trump's "war on media."
"I think it's something that he goes out and he says in front of a crowd of supporters and it gets a great reaction," Lauer said. "He doesn't hate the media. As a matter of fact, he's someone who has loved the media more than most people."
President Trump hates the media but he loves being in it.
Donald Trump could benefit highly being invited onto the Ellen show. What if he makes for a great interview with Ellen and it turns out that they come to an agreement on things or the conversation turns into a heated debate? That's great TV for viewers!
Ellen would love the extra viewers just as much as Trump would love the free press and television time, but it seems like she is holding out on this to make a personal point.
What are your thoughts?
Is Ellen right to ban Trump from her show? Or should she allow him on the show?
