ESPN suspends Adrian Wojnarowski for writing profane email to State Senator

ESPN has suspended Adrian Wojnarowski who sent a two word email response to Missouri's Republican Senator Josh Hawley, who was critical of China and expressed support for law enforcement.

Woj's email simply said, "F-ck You" - and Hawley took a screenshot of it and posted it on Twitter with the caption, "Don’t criticize #China or express support for law enforcement to

@espn. It makes them real mad ?@Outkick"

Hawley had sent a letter to the NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, about their relations with China, and that's what triggered Wojnarowski into dropping the F bomb in Hawley's inbox.

Woj later apologized, saying “I was disrespectful and I made a regrettable mistake. I’m sorry for the way I handled myself and I am reaching out immediately to Senator Hawley to apologize directly. I also need to apologize to my ESPN colleagues because I know my actions were unacceptable and should not reflect on any of them.”

ESPN responded as well, saying “This is completely unacceptable behavior and we do not condone it. It is inexcusable for anyone working for ESPN to respond in the way Adrian did to Senator Hawley. We are addressing it directly with Adrian and specifics of those conversations will remain internal.”

Woj is suspended without pay.

Now here's what I think.

I think Hawley should not be crying about a grown man saying 'f-ck you.' I think ESPN should not have suspended Woj without pay. I think Woj should not be apologizing about it.

These are grown men having a conversation. If they want to say 'f-ck you' to each other, then what's the problem with that?

Why are we so soft and sensitive that the moment someone curses us out, we're complaining on social media and people are getting suspended over it?

Why are we becoming a nation of snowflakes and suspensions?

The bigger problem here is China - not two grown men dropping an 'F bomb' in an email.

Hawley should have said it back instead of running to Twitter.

I'm getting sick of this nonsense and snowflake behavior. Be a man and stand up for yourself instead of getting people canceled.

And to the NBA, stop rubbing China's feet, it's not pretty and they don't care about you.
