Inmate with Skull-Face Tattoo Escapes from Work Crew

Corey Hughes escaped from his Central Valley work crew and is now reported missing. He's 27-years-old and has an obvious huge skull tattoo on his face. The driver of the work crew reported that he went missing on Monday. Hughes was staying in a minimum-security Honor Farm in French Camp. It's located south of Stockton in California.

He was serving a sentence related to a weapons charge. The place he was staying, The Honor Farm, has both male and female residents. These inmates are usually not violent, come with low risk, and usually not people that authorities have to worry much about while they're finishing their sentence in a more normal setting other than cold hard prison.

The most shocking part of this story is not the man's face tattoos, but the fact that he was set to be released in a few months. His scheduled date of release is on February 6, 2018. People are wondering why he ran away from the work crew when he only has a few months left of his sentence.

It just doesn't make sense to be that close to your freedom and to escape and risk losing it all again. Hughes could get a much longer sentence once he's caught or turns himself in.

It won't be easy for him to hide with that huge skull-face tattoo.
