Financier Jeffrey Epstein, whose death is under investigation after being found unconscious in his jail cell, was a famous member of the elite circle. Epstein, who was arrested on charges of sex trafficking and pedophilia, was connected to world leaders, elite executives and tech moguls.
In a New York Times article, James B. Stewart recalled his experiences on an August 2018 interview with Epstein. The article includes Epstein’ openly expressing his penchant for younger girls and his thoughts on Silicon Valley.
In Stewart’s article, Epstein claims that the people in the Silicon Valley’s reputation of being geeky workaholics was far from the truth. That he, Epstein, witnessed prominent tech figures using recreational drugs, arranging for sex, and were hedonistic in nature.
One of the famous tech moguls tied to the disgraced financier is multi billionaire Bill Gates, founder and former CEO of Microsoft. Bridgitt Arnold, a representative for Gates, tells Business Insider that Gates met Epstein to discuss philanthropy. However, Epstein was pursuing Bill Gates aggressively and any matters of business and personal relationships between the two are false.
In Stewart’s article, Epstein dished on his connection with Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk. A representative of Musk clears the rumor of Epstein ever advising Elon about Tesla, saying that it was not true. An old photo of Musk and Epstein’s rumored mistress, Ghislaine Maxwell, from the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscars Party resurfaced. Musk’s representative told the Business Insider that Musk was not posing with Maxwell, he was photobombed.
In the midst of the investigation regarding the nature of Epstein’s death, the disappearance of Ghislaine Maxwell is being questioned as well. The Daily Mail reports that Maxwell is living in the home of Scott Borgerson, the CEO of CargoMetrics. Borgerson clarifies that Maxwell is a former friend of his, and that she is not living in his house. He also told Business Insider that he does not know Maxwell's whereabouts.
The father of Artificial Intelligence, Marvin Minsky, MIT Media Lab’s founding members, who died in 2016, is also connected to Epstein. This one comes with an accusation that solidifies the tie between him and Epstein’s sex trafficking network.
In an article published by The Verge, a woman testified that she had been forced to have sex with Minsky at Epstein’s compound in the US Virgin Islands. Minsky is known to be a member of Epstein’s circle.
The investigation on Epstein’s death and his sex-trafficking network is still going on.
