Jeremy Roenick fired from NBC for joking about threesome with co-workers

Jeremy Roenick's 10-year career has now come to an end. So no to polyamory?

Last December, NBC suspended the hockey analyst's career after making inappropriate comments about his co-workers on Barstool Sports Podcast. That certain episode on Barstool's Spittin' Chiclets podcast, the 50-year-old made comments about his co-workers, where he even implied that he'd want to have a threesome with his wife and his fellow analyst Kathryn Tappen when they were in Portugal.

In the podcast, he said "I was the king of Portugal. When you walk into every place and you have two blond bombshells on each side... your chest pops out a lot more." When he was asked if his wife and Tappen were with him, he answered that they were. He continued to tell his story, saying "And then Kathryn says, 'Will you shut up?' she starts yelling at me. I play it off like, you know, we're going to bed together every night, the three of us. Now, if it really came to fruition, that would really be good, but it's never going to happen."

After he was suspended, Roenick apologized to his co-workers through a tweet.

Months later, NBC fired him, or should we say put his career on ice?

Roenick publicized NBC's decision, with the caption "What a Joke!" In his video message, he said "I'm very disappointed and angry today (that) I will not be returning to NBC. And though disappointed, I am also grateful that I've had the opportunity to share my love, my passion, my knowledge of the game with millions of people, millions of fans, and for that, I thank you. Even though I'm leaving NBC, I will not be gone for long. I'll be back better and more motivated than ever to bring you the best entertainment and the best that I have for the game of hockey. I've seen all the support, I've read all the support, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, it's overwhelming and for that, I can't wait to see you soon."
