Joe Biden admits Obama administration locked kids in cages when pressed during interview
Former Vice President and current presidential candidate, Joe Biden, has officially admit that the Obama administration locked kids in cages at the border facility. Biden was interviewed by Jorge Ramos who questioned the former vice president on this issue. Biden at first denies it, then Ramos says something along the lines of "actually, yes you did" - and then Biden goes into defense mode.
During the interview, when pressed about the situation with kids locked in cages at the border, Biden's defense was that they tried to get them back home or with families. Either way, the admission is still there that yes, the Obama administration had been doing this a long time before Trump came into the White House.
People who question this method of detainment are using the "kids locked in cages" to exaggerate the situation.
Many of the children who arrive are alone or without adults. What exactly is the Border Patrol supposed to do, send them back out into the wild where they risk being homeless or part of human trafficking?
Border Patrol puts a roof over their heads until they can figure out how to get them home or back to their family.
The facilities aren't luxury celebrity style mansions, but it's a roof over their head and meals - something they wouldn't have if left outside alone.
Jorge Ramos did a really wonderful job with this interview, pressing Joe Biden on hard questions like this one.
