Jon Bon Jovi's new album has lyrics about mass shootings
Legendary singer and composer Jon Bon Jovi departs from his usual carefree tunes with his next album leaning on politics. The band's next album was announced last Tuesday in his Mediterranean cruise ship, entitled "Bon Jovi:2020."
According to Variety, Bon Jovi said that "It's an election year, so why not? I couldn't do any worse."
There is no set release date of the upcoming record.
Bon Jovi is obviously hinting on the anticipated 2020 elections. This is not the only political act that he has done this month. Earlier, he opened his East Hampton estate for a campaign fundraising event to support New Jersey's Senator Cory Booker's presidential campaign. In a report by the New York Post, the tickets cost $1000 with the members of the host committee agreeing to reach the amount of at least $15,000. Bon Jovi has also donated to Booker's campaign personally.
Bon Jovi's loud acts that announce his support for Booker's campaign, this has not affected Booker and his campaign. Booker is currently polling at only 5% among other Democratic candidates.
