Judge orders Trump to show 8 years of tax returns

It turns out current U.S. President Donald Trump made an emergency appeal just after a federal judge rules he is not immune from prosecution. Now, he must also show eight years' worth of records on tax returns to delve into the hush money situation with Stormy Daniels.

Manhattan District Attorney obtained a copy of the grand jury's subpoena in the investigation of Trump Organization and possible campaign finance violations. The temporary relief was granted. However, president Trump's accounting firm must return eight years of tax returns and comply with the subpoena. This is their last resort in gaining information on the president's finances.

The president's lawyers filed for an emergency motion to appeal the decision. This was granted by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. A deadline was issued this Monday afternoon.

Attorney Cy Vance's office is asking for this information as a part of the investigation after the revelation of Stormy Daniels' affair with the president which happened before Election Day back in 2016. Then lawyer Michael Cohen pleased guilty to facilitating payments in order to silence the woman.

A judicial panel will be hearing the case on an expedited basis. The argument of President Trump being immune from prosecution was denied.
