Leslie Jones is publicly trashing the latest Ghostbusters remake on Twitter and even tried pulling the TRUMP CARD on it. The new movie isn't set to be released until sometime in 2020, but Jones already has a head start on hating it. There's a few things that Jones must be forgetting and I'm going to break it down for the behemoth-sized Saturday Night Live star once and for all, but let me show you what Jones said about the remake first.
Jones said on Twitter that the new Ghostbusters 2020 remake is "So insulting. Like f*** us. We dint count. It’s like something trump would do. '(Trump voice) "Gonna redo ghostbusteeeeers, better with men, will be huge. Those women ain’t ghostbusteeeeers" ugh so annoying. Such a d*** move. And I don’t give f*** I’m saying something!!"
That's seriously what Leslie Jones has said about the new Ghostbusters 2020 remake. Now let's remind her of a few things and maybe her big ass can think next time she trashes a movie she doesn't like before it even comes out.
1. Leslie Jones called the new remake "insulting" even though she was in a remake herself. She was literally in a Ghostbusters remake and now she's complaining that someone else is remaking the movie? The original stars of Ghostbusters are absolute legends. They had Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Harold Ramis, Sigourney Weaver and even Rick Moranis. Leslie Jones being in the 2016 remake was an absolute insult to the cast of the original Ghostbusters. Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy and whomever else was in it was trash. The 2016 remake was an insult to everything Ghostbusters ever stood for and should not have ever been made, let alone with that lousy cast and lame Paul Feig behind it.
You can't be in a remake of a classic movie and then complain that someone else is remaking it because yours sucked so bad.
2. What in the world does this have to do with Donald Trump? Nothing. This just proves that Trump Derangement Syndrome is real. If you're complaining about movies and Donald Trump has nothing to do with movies, but you're blaming him and acting like this was something he would do, then you're a nutcase.
3. Does Leslie Jones know anything at all about the original Ghostbusters movies? She's 51, so she's been around long enough to have seen those films as a kid and remember them. Even better, she's old enough to know how to use Google if she isn't caught up on anything at all behind the lore and history of the movie she so badly remade.
Does she know that Jason Reitman is behind the 2020 remake? Does she know his father Ivan Reitman directed the very first two original Ghostbusters movies? This is a son following in his footsteps. This is a man who has a deep connection to the original Ghostbusters, something Leslie Jones will not ever have.
What this all comes down to is Leslie Jones being a bitch and thinking her movie didn't suck.
Newsflash, Ghostbusters 2016 sucked more ass than a toilet seat and it was a box office disaster. Daily Mail informed the public via their article that "the 2016 movie netted $229,147,509 in theaters globally, per Box Office Mojo - but it was so expensive to make and market that this was still reportedly a loss. In fact, The Hollywood Reporter claimed that the movie would have had to make $300 million to recoup its costs, meaning the loss ran up to about $70 million."
At this time, Leslie Jones can now shut up and stop talking about Ghostbusters.
Her movie was trash and she should be quiet about it.
