Man sits on toilet for nearly 5 days to set World Record

Being best in the world at anything is an achievement that will book your place in history. At least that's what Belgian man Jimmy De Frenne thought after trying to set a new world record by sitting on the toilet for five days.

Jimmy decided to set the record in a bar in Ostend, Belgium and he had pretty busy days checking his phone, enjoying excellent meals but also chatted for hours with his friends and family. Also, the rules allowed him to get up for five minutes after every hour, for example, to go to the real toilet, as the one he was sitting on was not in function.

When we explain it this way, it sounds almost too easy. You can use your phone as much as you want, people bring you food and drinks, and you finally have all the time in the world to talk to people you miss.

Still, it took a lot of effort for Jimmy to achieve that. He says that after a few days, his legs became exhausted, to the point of feeling the pain. That was the reason why this man failed to achieve his goal and sit on the toilet for 165 hours.

Instead, he had to quit while clocking 116, which was still more than enough to set the new world record.

It should be said that the result is still not official, and it's unknown will it be included in the next edition of Guinness World Records book. Representatives of the company have not yet commented the attempted as, like all other world records, they have to check it's validity which may last for more than a few days.

Jimmy is certainly hoping that his record will be verified, but it's not clear if he'll try to do even better once he recovers. If they don't give him the record, well then boy - ain't that a crock!

Is a $1,200 relief check a waste of time?
