Mayor Pete did Dem Debate with Smushed Bug on his forehead

Mayor Pete Buttigieg says the weird smudge spot on his forehead during the second Democrat Debate was probably a bug. According to him, there was a bunch of gnats and the 2020 candidate might have smushed one on his forehead. It appears he didn't realize the smushed bug was on his forehead and that's likely why he didn't wipe it off.

Mediaite reported, "Buttigieg was appearing on CNN’s New Day Wednesday morning where Alisyn Camerota asked him about the smudge, which confounded viewers of the Tuesday night debate.

“I have a totally cosmetic story for you?” Camerota asked “Did you have a smudge on your forehead and what was that?”

“So our best guess is that — there were these little gnats around. Maybe I smushed one and it got on my forehead. I don’t know. That’s the thing about having something on your forehead. Hopefully it didn’t distract from the message,” Buttigieg said."

At one point in during the debate, Buttigieg could be seen swatting at what might have been one of the gnats he referenced in his interview with CNN's Camerota.
