Mitt Romney had secret Twitter account and here it is

Everyone, meet Pierre Delecto, or as we know him, Mitt Romney!

McKay Coppins, a reporter for the Atlantic, published an article on Mitt Romney yesterday. Aside from the usual backstory of how he set himself up as the politician that he is today, it turns out he has a secret Twitter Account under the name Pierre Delecto, his handle being @qaws9876.

Delecto (Romney) opened his account in July of 2011, that’s only a month after he announced he will run for the presidency. Since then, the account only has 10 tweets, 8 followers and follows 702 accounts on Twitter. The majority of people Delecto follows are politicians, reporters, and comedians. Aside from that, he also likes late-night talkshow hosts such as Conan O' Brien who he described as “the big redhead from Boston.”

However, it turns out Romney’s Delecto persona is only a lurker on the internet.

Pierre Delecto also follows some random accounts such as the @SenRomney Twitter handle, not his official one. There’s a pro-Romney parody account like @AltPresRomney, some fan accounts like @MittRomney_2016. He is being followed by his family members who have twitter accounts, most of them in private to ensure that it will be safe for a long time.

It’s interesting to see that he only started tweeting in 2015, and there’s only been 9 after that. His tweets are mostly replies that seem witty for a lurker but will make you go “aha” when you find out that it’s actually him replying to those posts.

Since then, his account Pierre Delecto has been put in private. When asked by McKay Coppins about Pierre Delecto, Mitt Romney replied: “C’est moi”. Quite a rollercoaster.
