Obama's buying $14.85 million Martha's Vineyard mansion
Former President Barack Obama and his first lady Michelle Obama are supposedly buying a Martha's Vineyard mansion that's listed at $14.85 million. The property sits on 29 acres, has almost 7,000 square feet, and is currently owned by the Boston Celtics co-owner named Wyc Grousbeck, per reports.
This is a property that's been on the market for at least four years and originally listed for sale at $22 million.
The Hill gathered information from The Boston Globe which reported that "the Obamas are reportedly paying less than the current listing price, according to “multiple island sources,” but it is unclear how much they will spend, according to the outlet. The presidential family rented Grousbeck’s seven-bedroom, 8 1/2 bathroom property when they vacationed on the island this summer."
The multi-million dollar mansion has a private pool, a boathouse, and one downfall - it only has a two car garage according to TMZ.
That means the kids might have to keep their cars outside.
It also remains unclear if the Martha's Vineyard mansion has a bathhouse for Barry.
