Parents called 'racist' for complaining about migrant man in 30's posing as teenager at high school

Students at the Stoke High School in Ipswich (in the UK) were getting a new student named Siavash, a 15-year-old born in Iran who fled the Middle Eastern theocracy and went to Europe with his younger brother looking for somewhere to stay. They were just 15 and 12-years-old and seeking asylum. They found a refugee charity which helped them find a place to live in Suffolk where an Iranian immigrant community exists.

According to the local laws or ways in the UK, the refugee boys would get a full-time education and have a place to stay provided by the local authority until they're 25-years-old. That sounds like quite a story and everything was going fine until Siavash walked into school. He's 6"1' has very protruding Adam's apple, facial hair, a receding hairline like Lebron James, and looks to be possibly in his early 30's.

The students noticed this right away and started talking amongst themselves. It didn't take long for parents to find out and question it. One parent questioned the school about why a 30-year-old appeared to be in a school full of teenagers and they were quickly dismissed and made to seem like they were being racist for questioning the man's presence in their student classrooms. It wasn't about the man's ethnicity, just the fact that he was in high school at that age was concerning.

‘She was a bit concerned because he seemed so old. He kept messaging her during the night, and in the morning he texted her saying, “Hello, how are you?” She told the maths teacher and was taken to the safeguarding teacher who looked at the messages and said there was nothing sinister about them.’
Serious questions were also raised about the school’s handling of the case, amid claims that complaints about Siavash had been blithely dismissed by staff, who in some cases had claimed the objections were motivated by racism.
‘I went in [to] complain but I was fobbed off. They are deluded and seem more worried about how the bloke might feel,’ said a father of two girls from Stoke High. ‘I am not aware of this lad having done anything inappropriate, but it’s clearly wrong that he should be in a class with children.’

Whenever a full grown man shows up to take classes at a high school, that's always a bit strange. It's not racist to question it. It's just as weird as when a 15-year-old brilliant child shows up to community college to take classes for credits to graduate high school early.

Everyone looks and wonders what's going on.

In this case, it appears to have been a full grown man identifying as a child in order to gain asylum.

Great effort on his part to play the system, but come on now - you can't possibly think that a 30-year-old in high school wouldn't stand out, would you?
