What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right? Not when it comes to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and President Donald Trump and their tax returns. Nancy Pelosi won't release her tax returns unless she runs for president according to her Chief of Staff Drew Hammil. Meanwhile, Democrats constantly call for Trump to release his tax returns, but they don't seem willing to offer the same in exchange. Sounds fair, right? All the rich Democrats out there living in lavish homes demand Trump to show his tax returns, but they won't even share their own.

Based on a report by CNSNews, Pelosi “will gladly release her tax returns if and when she runs for president,” said her Chief of Staff Drew Hammill, apparently indicating that, in Pelosi’s current position as speaker, she will not release her tax returns. When CNSNews.com repeatedly followed-up and asked Hammill to directly confirm that Pelosi, as speaker, would not release her tax returns, Hammill did not respond."

CNS tried to get more answers from 78-year-old Pelosi, but they have gone unanswered. They're trying to get Pelosi to answer a question related to a co-sponsored legislation called  "(H.R. 1) that would require the president and vice president to release their tax returns. Under 3 U.S. Code 19 (enacted under Article II, Section 1, Clause 6 of the Constitution), the Speaker of the House is third in line to the presidency."

H.R.1 is legislation that will require president and vice president to release their latest 9 years of tax returns.

That's fine, but it's not yet passed so it doesn't matter.

The big problem here is all the wealthy members of the Democratic Party calling for Trump's tax returns, but the same people aren't willing to share theirs.

Why should Trump show his taxes if you're not showing yours? Works both ways, right? It should, but if you're a very wealthy Democrat and don't want your less than fortunate voters knowing how filthy rich you are, then maybe you don't want your supporters seeing your cash flow after all.

Some politicians are married to very successful people, but you know damn right there's always something else going on.
