President Donald Trump is getting backlash from some mean tweets he posted about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and her three congress member friends, and telling them to leave America if they hate it so much. Tucker Carlson was talking to Senator John Kennedy about it and that's when Kennedy joked about "The Squad" and stated that they've moved the Democratic Party so far left that they are essentially "destroying the Democratic Party" on their own.
Kennedy stated that the four women represented in 'The Squad' are entitled to their opinion, but so is he. He called them cranks and said they are the reason there are instructions on a shampoo bottle and that we should completely ignore them.
As quoted by the Washington Examiner...
"I don't think President Trump is a racist. I don't think his original tweet was racist. I think it was a poor choice of words, which is why he clarified," Kennedy said, pointing out that Trump has since said that anyone who hates America is free to leave.
"I'm not sure the president should exchange playground insults with them. When you try to argue with a fool, that proves there are two. But the president decided to do so," Kennedy continued. "The simple fact of the matter is that the four congresswomen think that America was wicked in its origins."
"They are entitled to their opinion. They are Americans. But I'm entitled to my opinion, and I just think they are left-wing cranks and they are the reason that there are directions on a shampoo bottle," Kennedy said. "I think we should ignore them."
So Kennedy basically says these four women in Congress are essentially destroying their own party and we should not interrupt them. Let them keep ruining the Democratic Party as much as possible. It seems like Kennedy believes that Trump should stop trading insults with them, as it does HIM no good to go back and forth with pointless badgering, because quite frankly, many people view it as embarrassing. If the Democrat women will embarrass themselves without the help of anyone else, then let them do it - but don't sink to their level and contribute.
I like what Trump said because that is Trump's style and he doesn't seem to bend it for anyone. He has no problem being offensive. However, is that how a president should be? Well, I guess so if the congresswomen are literally hating our country, then it's up to the leader of the country to get his government in check.
