SNL says cast members won't be forced to appear with host Elon Musk

Elon Musk is set to host Saturday Night Live and people were already basically crying about it. The guy is being referred to as a "controversial billionaire" according to Page Six who said the following in a report:

“Saturday Night Live” cast members won’t be forced to appear alongside controversial billionaire Elon Musk when he hosts the show, Page Six is told.

“Speaking historically, if a cast member has been that unhappy, they don’t have to do it,” a source told us. “[‘SNL’ boss Lorne Michaels] won’t ever make them do anything they don’t want to do.”

The Tesla founder, 49, is set to helm the NBC institution on May 8 — but some cast members have made it clear that they’re less than enthused by the prospect of having him on stage at Studio 8H.

After Musk tweeted, “Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live really is,” cast member Bowen Yang wrote: “What the f–k does this even mean?”

OK, but the cast members have a job to do, so they should just do their job and do it well. This is Elon Musk, what the heck is so controversial about this guy? He sits on Twitter talking about DogeCoin and making dad jokes.

Is this just a way to stir up some hot press to get people to watch Elon Musk on Saturday Night Live while some cast members are getting queasy?

The good news is that Page Six reports NO cast members have pulled out of the show yet.

I guess it's good that SNL is offering people a safe space in case they don't want to share the stage with a guy who's literally no threat to them.
