UPDATE! The Rock now claims the original story/interview was fabricated. Looks like the original source, The Daily Star, has some splainin to do. Source of correction is linked below.
The Rock also posted a video on Instagram to set the record straight that the website totally faked the interview.
My opinion? That website is an asshole because now a bunch of us have written about this story and we all need to make corrections now. Thanks a lot, dumbasses. Next time don't fabricate an interview.
We still love The Rock and we won't ever use The Daily Star as a source again. Fuck them.
Here's what we previously wrote, which is now worth dog shit thanks to some idiot website posting a fake interview. Maybe I'm the idiot for believing it. Whatever. K THX BYE
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson just body slammed, pile drived, and leg-locked an entire generation of millennial snowflakes who are best known for being offended by everything. The Rock literally just crushed the ego of a generation and he's not the only one sick of it. The former wrestler had much bigger foes in the ring and tackled some fine acting roles in his new career, so talking about a bunch of millennials and warning them to stop being offended is easy compared to what he normally does. What is someone going to do, say something to The Rock's face?
The Rock spoke exclusively with The Daily Star in an interview.
I don’t have to agree with what somebody thinks, who they vote for, what they voted for, what they think, but I will back their right to say or believe it.
That’s democracy. So many good people fought for freedom and equality - but this generation are looking for a reason to be offended.
If you are not agreeing with them then they are offended - and that is not what so many great men and women fought for. We thankfully now live in a world that has progressed over the last 30 or 40 years.
People can be who they want, be with who they want, and live how they want.
That can only be a good thing – but generation snowflake or, whatever you want to call them, are actually putting us backwards.
The Rock is right. Just about everywhere you go there's some weirdo millennial complaining about something, being offended, needing a safe space, and just being a drag on society.
If you think about what The Rock is saying, it makes you wonder how many people who were in the middle of the road regarding politics had decided to vote for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton because the millennials crying and being offended turned people away from the Democratic Party.
I know one thing, I can't vote for a party if their base is constantly being offended because I like to be offensive. I like dirty jokes. I like dark humor. That's my right to enjoy it just like it's other people's right to cry in a corner when they don't get their way. I just can't align myself with that type of over-sensitive people.
Everyone has the right to believe in what they wish, but if someone else doesn't agree, then it's not necessary to get offended. Instead of going into full liberal outrage mode, how about opening up the dialogue a bit more and trying to understand each other's perspective? Or how about this - it's OK for people to disagree on things.
We all have our reasons for why what we believe is correct and most of the time, we're not going to change people's minds to think like we do.
Believe in what you want, but don't force your beliefs upon others and don't get mad if others disagree.
We're not all the same.
We don't believe in the same things.
We should embrace our differences and respect each other's opinions.
Except for the gender thing. There's only two genders and the rest are fake.
Don't even try to disagree with me because I am 100% correct on that.
