President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania want to remind everyone that the White House is celebrating Christmas this year. The massive Christmas tree is lit and looks amazing with the White House in the distance. The amount of lights and decorations on this huge tree is quite impressive. When they lit the tree last week, at the annual National Christmas Tree Lighting and it was quite a spectacle on the rather warm date of November 30th.
But there was a special guest there that stole the show. Many people weren't expecting to see the Beach Boys there performing. That must've been an early Christmas present for some people who are big fans of the summer fun sensations. It was a very special ceremony this year as the 95th year in the longstanding tradition at the White House.
Donald Trump said a few words in a reflection of the holiday and put an emphasis back to the religious roots of Jesus and Christianity.
“The Christmas Story begins 2,000 years ago with a mother, a father, their baby son, and the most extraordinary gift of all—the gift of God’s love for all of humanity,” the President said. “Whatever our beliefs, we know that the birth of Jesus Christ and the story of his life forever changed the course of human history.”
Trump has no problem expressing himself and being proud of his preferred religion. People should be proud of whom they are and whatever religion they participate in. Each religion is special in its own way and people have the freedom to celebrate holidays and religions in whichever way they wish.
Trump loves the Christian way and there's nothing wrong with that.
Make Christmas great again.
If you don't celebrate Christmas, then that's OK too. Happy holidays to everyone, no matter what you're celebrating.
