Trump meets retired NFL player Jack Brewer to discuss 'Black America'
President Donald Trump met with Jack Brewer, a former NFL player and a conservative commentator. The meeting took place at Trump's golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey. As Brewer said, the main topic of the discussion was "black America."
Jack Brewer can be a role model for many black people in the USA. He was a famous and successful NFL player, and unlike some other sportsmen, he also has something to say. Since 2002, he has been involved in the production of various television, digital media and radio productions. He is also a frequent guest at Fox News.
To make his career complete, he was also involved in financial and an investment sector.
Donald Trump on the other hand surely knows how to get many followers on Twitter. His recent words addressed to four Democratic Congresswomen, that they should "go back to where they came from," once again sparked controversy.
But Trump is known not only for his controversial tweets, but also for his (sometimes unusual) actions. Recently he intervened in the case of black rapper A$AP Rocky and called Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven to release this US citizen from detention in Sweden.
Brewer said that one of the purposes of the meeting with Trump was to "calm the wave" of tensions between the black community and Trump's administration. He also said that he appreciates Trump's actions, like First Step Act, that helped to release 3,100 inmates from the prisons.
"I came to talk about what's been done. Thousands of black families have their dads now," said Brewer. He also added that he "was focused on discussing issues that are making a real impact for black families in America. Period."
