If you've ever enjoyed an Eskimo Pie snack, well that might have been your last under the name. They've had the name for about 99 years and now they're about to change the so-called "derogatory" name because of alleged racial insensitivity.

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, the company who owns Eskimo Pie, said in a statement, per the company's head of marketing, that "we are committed to being a part of the solution on racial equality, and recognize the term is derogatory... This move is part of a larger review to ensure our company and brands reflect our people values." (NY Post)

The company suggests they will also change their marketing a bit. They currently feature an Eskimo boy in the snow, but it's unclear how they will market in the future.

Another brand who said they're changing is the Aunt Jemima products. They're taking her off! She's one of the most successful brands and based off a real person. But they're just going to cancel her and claim the brand is rooted in racism.

Some have criticized the cancels and removals, saying that it might actually be more racist to remove a successful black woman from the product she made famous.

Cream of Wheat is another product. They have a black chef as the mascot. They plan to change their marketing. Some might ask why, and what is wrong with a black chef?
