PORTLAND, OREGON -- Protesters are still at it, for 52 nights in a row, and this time have lit the Portland Police Association (PPA_ building on fire. Police have also declared the situation to be a riot and have started pushing back, removing protesters from the streets, but simply pushing them into other streets where they are split up into smaller crowds.

Oregon Live reports that several of the protesters entered the PPA and lit the fire, but it has since been put out (videos below).

The protests are mostly calling for police to be defunded.

"In North Portland, the PNW Youth Liberation Front, an organized group that has been leading demonstrations over the course of the past two months, hosted a protest to demand the abolition of the Portland Police Bureau and decry violence against people of color. After an evening gathering at Peninsula Park, marchers headed south on Interstate Avenue, stretching out for about five blocks." (Oregon Live)
