Adam Schiff appears to be using scare-tactics to gain Republican support

Adam Schiff appears to be using scare-tactics in hopes to gain support from Republicans, by suggesting that anyone can be investigated by the President. Specifically, he said, "Do you think for a moment that any of you, no matter what your relationship with this president, no matter how close you are to this president, do you think for a moment that if he felt it was in his interest, he wouldn’t ask you to be investigated?"

Schiff's scare tactics won't work because everyone already knows that the President of the United States, no matter who he is, can have people investigated if they feel there is a leak, crime, etc.

It doesn't matter if the president is Trump, Obama, or any of them - the president should always have the power to protect themselves and expose the swamp creatures.

This is nothing new, but Adam Schiff seems to think it might gain support from Republicans in the Trump impeachment trial.
