Attorneys for Kyle Rittenhouse say he was 'acting in self-defense'

TMJ4 News reports "Attorneys representing Kyle Rittenhouse, the teen charged with homicide in the shooting deaths of two protesters and the injuring of a third in Kenosha, says the 17-year-old has been wrongfully charged after "acting in self-defense."

Rittenhouse was being chased and then struck, he fired shots at two protesters who attacked him, and then he walked towards police with his hands up. The police may not have known what was going on at the time, and one car drove past him. Rittenhouse turned himself in without incident. All three of the protesters shot by Rittenhouse allegedly have criminal records. All three are said to have been the aggressor and came after Rittenhouse, which is likely a big factor for what the attorneys will argue in court to determine what's going to happen next. It should be noted that during the incident, Rittenhouse showed restraint and only shot the two people who assaulted him during the chase. A third person was nearby with hands up and not harmed in any way.
