Former Clinton Strategist suggests Dems wasting time getting votes from convicts and illegal immigrants

A former strategist and advisor to Bill Clinton has spoken out against the current Democratic Party and demands that they be more relevant instead of being a cult that is AOC crazy.
His name is James Carville and he said, "Do we want to be an ideological cult? Or do we want to have a majoritarian instinct to be a majority party?"
One of former President Bill Clinton’s famous “War Room” political strategists told MSNBC this week that his party — and much of the media — is flirting with disaster if it continues to go “AOC crazy.”
“This party needs to wake up and make sure that we talk about things are relevant to people,” he said Tuesday. “We need to go back to 2018 where we had good, diverse, strong candidates that had real connections to the community and talked about real things.” (Washington Times)
Carville is sending warning shots to Democrats about where their interests are and how they should be more relevant to what's really going on in the world. As it stands, according to Carville, the Democrats are focusing too much on trying to get votes from "convicts and illegal immigrants" and not paying attention to more typical citizens who aren't in jail or breaking immigration laws. In particular, he said, "law-abiding citizens in economically depressed areas."
“We’re like talking about people voting from jail cells,” he said. “We’re talking about not having a border. I mean, come on, people. Everyday people are out there struggling. We’re trying to get votes in Northern Wisconsin and Western Pennsylvania.”
“And your analysis, if you look at — the press corps went AOC crazy,” he said. “And the Iowa caucuses are liberal. The combined left side of the party — and don’t I consider myself a liberal, by the way. I’m not a moderate. … [sic] Senator Klobuchar and Buttigieg got lot of votes. We have got to decide what we want to be. Do we want to be an ideological cult? Or do we want to have a majoritarian instinct to be a majority party?”
Carville's words will likely fall on deaf ears. Americans have been trying to get the Democratic Party to think about Americans who follow the law more than anyone else. But still, the party appears to focus on undocumented immigrants and convicts at times, something that might make your everyday average Democrat actually feel left out.
For example, what about Karen the woman who follows the laws, is an American citizen, and only wants to see the manager once in a while? What do Democrats do for her?
Vote now to REMOVE Pelosi from GOVT!
That answer is likely nothing, and that's what Carville is warning their party about.
Carville appears to want the Democrats to do more for Americans who follow the law and less for undocumented immigrants and people behind bars.
