Well, Thanksgiving is about people coming together and putting differences aside.
What happened before that is a big deal too, but is that part of history appropriate for kindergarten? That answer is a resounding no. When the children are that young, you teach them to love and appreciate all. This is a stage where they are growing and developing, so give them the foundation of loving one another and let them learn the other parts of history when they're old enough to grasp it.
