This guy laid it all out there when he said he's tired of seeing WNBA players complain about the pay disparity. He said it's a disservice and suggested they should do more than just complain if they want to make more money. This is Draymond Green from the Warriors speaking out in a way that suggests they stop complaining, but also do more than just complain if they want to make any more money.
Green said, "I'm really tired of seeing them complain about the lack of pay, because they're doing themselves a disservice by just complaining. They're not laying out steps that they can take to change that. It's coming off as a complaint because the people that can change it are just going to continue to say, 'Well, the revenue isn't there. So if you don't bring in the revenue, we can't up your pay.' They're going to keep using that, but the reality is, as true as that is, it's an excuse. Because everyone says, 'We support women. We support women's empowerment. We support women in the workplace. We do this for women. We do X for women. Blah, blah blah. And everyone uses it to their advantage, yet these women are not using these people who are saying these very things to their advantage."
Did you guys ever think of this? Maybe sports fans, who are probably mostly men, just don't care about women's basketball. No offense, but I tried watching it and it sucks. It's literally awful. Now what happens if you're a dad who works full time and you might have maybe an hour or so per week to relax and watch some sports - are you watching the WNBA? LOL NO!!Sponsored
Don't these women realize that the men's leagues bring in tons of revenue compared to them? Sorry ladies, we don't care about your sports, and that's my opinion coming from a single male father who grew up watching and playing sports. Literally none of my male friends are ever like, "hey, you watching the WNBA tonight?" LOL why would we when we have the NBA and the guys are ten times more exciting to watch?
It's time to shut this conversation down because it's literally stupid and the WNBA is never going to make the same money as the NBA. They don't sell tickets or merch like the NBA, the caliber of player is not nearly as exciting to watch, and they simply don't make the same levels of revenue as the NBA.
Honestly, just shut the WNBA down. What's even the point of it?

And if you're a WNBA player complaining that you PLAY a game for a living and make money doing it, then maybe shut up already. Be happy you get to PLAY for a living while other people actually work.Source: cbssports
