People doing Yoga inside personal pods while outdoors

November 25, 2020 / 1K views

Imagine a world where you are outside doing yoga inside your own little pod, stewing in your own germs. That is exactly what this video is and this could be the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Now let's be frank here - this could be an old video and those pods might be used so it's like a HOT yoga class, because who knows - maybe it's cold outside. Or these could be RONA PODS and people are literally outside doing yoga like this. Couldn't they just spread out a little bit further and call it a peaceful protest.

Again - I have no clue what time frame or town this video was taken, so these are my two guesses and they are NOT FACTS - just speculative assumptions at best and my own opinion that it's really weird.

The yoga class as we know it might be a thing of the past. Live-streamed, at-home sessions have become the norm while we've all been stuck indoors in quarantine. Even as yoga studios currently prepare to reopen in anticipation of lockdown easing, they are doing so with a drastically reduced capacity — and restrictive face masks aren't exactly conducive to breathing properly while doing a more strenuous hot yoga workout.

One possible, ingenious alternative is currently being tried out: yoga in domes, perfect for the era of social distancing.

A pop-up yoga studio in Toronto, Canada has taken over an open outdoor space and filled it with self-contained plastic bubbles, so attendees can practice their poses while safely keeping their distance and minimizing risks of the transmission of coronavirus. The pods are even kitted out with heating systems, enabling hot yoga classes to go ahead, mask-free.
