Trump brushes away reporter who claims using 'China virus' creates a 'stigma'

March 17, 2020 / 979 views

President Trump on Tuesday swatted away a reporter's question in which the commander-in-chief was asked whether he thought his use of the phrase "China virus" to describe COVID-19 created a "stigma."

The president wasn't buying in, especially since it's been widely reported the virus originated in Wuhan city, Hubei province, China.

“No, I don’t think so. I think saying that our military gave it to them creates a stigma," said Trump, referring to China's unsubstantiated claim that American troops introduced COVID-19 into the country.
