Trump campaign accuses Hunter Biden of $1.5 billion China Money Scandal

May 17, 2020 / 1.5K views

Team Trump posted the following statement along with this video, saying "Joe Biden's deadbeat son Hunter inked a $1.5 BILLION deal with China while Joe was Vice President. What did the Biden's offer China in return?"

Upon further research, this claim is listed as unproven on multiple sources. However, with it being listed as unproven, that can also mean it's not proven one way or the other, meaning there just isn't solid evidence to prove it in either direction.

Biden supporters can't exactly prove it didn't happen while Trump supporters may not have ample evidence to prove it did.

An NBC News article back in 2019 stated:

Despite Trump's accusations, there has been no evidence of corruption on the part of the former vice president or his son.

Hunter Biden’s spokesman, George Mesires, told NBC News that Hunter Biden wasn’t initially an “owner” of the company and has never gotten paid for serving on the board. He said Hunter Biden didn’t acquire an equity interest in the fund until 2017, after his father had left office.

And when he did, he put in only about $420,000 — a 10 percent interest. That puts the total capitalization of the fund at the time at about $4.2 million — a far cry from the $1.5 billion that Trump has alleged.

However, another story posted this year claims that Hunter Biden is still on the board of a Chinese business.

The NY Post stated:

Hunter Biden appears to still be on the board of a Chinese private equity firm he co-founded, despite his lawyer pledging late last year that the potential first son would resign, a report alleges.

Chinese business records, the Daily Caller reports, still list Robert Hunter Biden — the younger Biden’s full name — as a director and board member of BHR Partners.

George Mesires, a lawyer for Biden, said back in October that Biden would be relinquishing his director title “on or by October 31,” but the outlet reported that business records it obtained were submitted as recently as March 24.So what's the verdict?

I have no idea what to think about this particular situation, but if we judge Hunter Biden by his character, then we all know one thing is true - he's a complete sleazebag with his history of substance abuse, impregnating women out of wedlock, and allegedly not taking care of the child, using his late brother's identity, and getting paid $83k per month thanks to his father.

Until further evidence, in either direction, proves this money scandal true or false, I'll just go on the side of knowing Hunter is a dirt-bag who got paid way too much money to do absolutely nothing thanks to his Vice President father.

I don't mind a political figure getting their son a job, but could they at least work for the paycheck?
