Trump's new policy gives struggling Americans a second chance

On his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, President Donald Trump tackles the new Criminal Justice Reform called The First Step Act. This act aims to reduce recidivism and refine sentencing laws and harsh penalties. The president discusses how some of these acts of crime were done due to their poor state, proving that America believes in redemption.

In a White House statement, the First Step Act was said to "help prepare inmates to successfully rejoin society and enact commonsense sentencing reforms to make our justice system fairer for all Americans."
