Rev. Dr. Robert M. Grant Jr. was in the middle of his prayer and a Virginia Democrat slammed the gavel on him, cutting him off, and starting the pledge of allegiance. Some Democrats might have been irritated when Grant talked about the religious traditional marriage of man and woman. “I pray that this chamber will uphold the Virginia family... That the bills and laws being passed will always protect the biblical traditional marriage as God instructed the first man and the first woman in the Bible.”
It was Democrat Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn who slammed the heavy hammer on him, ending his prayer.
