Warren says Bill Barr should 'resign or face impeachment'

Democrats failed impeachment of Donald Trump must have left a bad taste in their mouth. Now the Senate Democrats have called for Attorney General Bill Barr to resign or get himself impeached after what happened with Roger Stone and his ongoing case.

Apparently President Trump might have had Barr get involved with the case against Roger Stone and helped him avoid a very long prison sentence, and that's what may have tipped the Democrat ship over the edge of sanity and into the ocean of impeachment.

“Donald Trump is shredding the rule of law in this country,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) tweeted Wednesday. “Congress must act immediately to rein in our lawless Attorney General. Barr should resign or face impeachment.”

Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, another Democrat, told NBC News earlier in the day that he believes Barr has “no choice” but to resign.

“He’s acting simply as a henchman of the president,” Blumenthal said. (Yahoo News)

If you missed the earlier news regarding Roger Stone's case - all four of the federal prosecutors have resigned, almost out of nowhere. This was directly after the Justice Department got involved and reduced the sentencing for Roger Stone.

The prosecutors told the court on Monday that Stone should face seven to nine years behind bars for witness tampering and lying to Congress. Trump, who has leaned on Stone as an adviser since the 1980s, tweeted that the sentencing recommendation was too long and called it a “miscarriage of justice.”

After Trump’s tweet, which was sent around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, the Justice Department signaled that it planned to revise the sentencing recommendation. The career prosecutors dropped out one by one soon after.

Elizabeth Warren, a presidential candidate with a history of lies, made several posts on Twitter regarding Bill Barr.

Vote now to REMOVE Pelosi from GOVT!

She said:

Congress must act immediately to rein in our lawless Attorney General. Barr should resign or face impeachment. And Congress should use spending power to defund the AG’s authority to interfere with anything that affects Trump, his friends, or his elections.

I am the only candidate to propose an independent DOJ task force to investigate crimes by Trump administration officials. Every Democratic candidate must commit to it—so Trump officials know they will be held accountable by career prosecutors once he is out of office.

Abusing official power to protect political friends and attack opponents is common in authoritarian regimes like Putin’s Russia. Trump and Barr’s conduct has no place in our democracy. To end it, Congress must act—and the American people must hold them accountable in November.
