What's Coming To Amazon Prime In August 2017

Amazing Prime has released its comprehensive list of newly listed media that will be available beginning the month of August.

The month of August sees four new Amazon Original series coming to Prime Video. The biggest name of the four is The Tick, which premieres on August 25. The comedy series is starring Peter Serafinowicz who boasts no superpowers of his own but he’s able to team up with an unsuspecting superhero to stop villains in their tracks.

But before The Tick arrives toward the end of the month, Comrade Detective from producers Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The comedy is a cop spoof show based on the Romanian series from the 1980s. A new series for kids also comes out on the first of the month with Lost in Oz, following the adventures of Dorothy and her little dog too in the land of Oz. The series is based on the novels of the same name. The fourth Amazon Original series to come out in August is season 3 of the kids series Tumble Leaf, about a blue fox and a caterpillar on Tumble Leaf island.

Next month through Amazon Channels, Prime members who subscribe to HBO can watch the adventures of Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them or follow Natalie Portman’s portrayal of former first lady Jackie Kennedy in the movie, Jackie. Showtime launches season five of Ray Donovan, the “fixer” for Hollywood’s elite, and new documentary about the late, legendary Whitney Houston, Whitney: Can I Be Me. Starz continues Season 4 of Survivor’s Remorse and vampire, action flick Underworld: Blood Wars. Make it a family night by streaming all-new episodes of Daniel Tiger on PBS Kids, or have a date night re-watching hits like Men in Black and Saving Private Ryan on Fullscreen.

Both Bill & Ted movies, all the SAW movies, Teen Wolf, Wayne’s World, and, yes, The Tick, are all coming, and more in the Amazon Prime in August 2017!

I guess I won't be getting out of the house any time soon.  Between Amazon Video and Netflix, I have a few lifetimes worth of content to be watching.  I'd get a lot more cardio done if I was running to and from the now defunct Blockbuster!
